Heatwave Heaven for Ireland Today Lads, Careful Now

Heatwave for Ireland today: Alright, lads, hold onto your sunhats, cos Ireland’s about to turn into the Costa del Shannon this Wednesday, according to Met Éireann. They’re reckoning we could hit a mental 25 degrees, maybe even smash the April record of 25.8 from way back in ’84 up in Glenties, Donegal.

I mean, I will probably be 22 BUT THAT FEELS LIKE 38 TO US PASTY SWEATIES.

There’s nothing more green and beautiful than a sunny Irish day.

But, because Ireland loves to keep us on our toes, there’s a chance of a few hefty showers dampening the vibes in some spots. Typical, isn’t it? Sunburn one minute, soggy socks the next.

Heatwave and the May Bank Holliers

Now, the May bank holiday’s looking decent—mostly dry and sunny, but don’t go packing the flip-flops for the whole weekend. Wednesday and Thursday will be toasty in places, especially down south where Leinster and Munster could see 23 or 24 degrees.

Up in Connaught and Ulster, though, it’s more like 12 to 17 degrees with a nippy northerly breeze. Friday’s gonna cool off a bit, bit cloudier too, but you’ll still get some sunny spells and highs of 17 or 18. Watch out for a chilly night, though—some spots droppin’ to a shivery 4 degrees.

Saturday starts grand, but clouds’ll sneak in with a bit of drizzle to annoy ye. Temps’ll be 13 to 17, nothing to write home about, and it’ll dip to 4 to 8 at night.

Sunday’s looking class: Dry, bright, maybe a stray shower in the east, with highs of 18 or 19. But brace yerselves for a frosty Sunday night—could hit 1 degree in some places. Pure Baltic.

Bank holiday Monday’s set to be a winner, though: Decent sunshine and 13 to 19 degrees.
