Women Drafted in Denmark: Old Moore’s Prediction Correct Again

Share

As per usual, our soothsayer has once again hit the nail with his predictions from the 2025 Old Moore’s Almanac. This prediction tells us that women will be drafted in military service in Europe. A shocking revelation in one European country has demonstrated that Old Moore has worked his magic once more.

Old Moore’s Prediction

In our 2025 Almanac, Old Moore predicted that many European countries may see a military draft. He mentioned specifically those which have not previously have a draft. He also, interestingly, further specified that this draft would include women. Lo and behold, who would have thought that Denmark would be the first country to include women in their draft. This is a super fascinating, and kind of terrifying, prediction to come true. Let’s try not to lose our heads over all-out European war!

Women Drafted in Denmark

As of legislation passed in 2023,  from July 1st onwards Denmark now mandates that women over the age of 18 years old to register for assessment of potential military service. Their draft has expanded to include women in response to growing concerns for the safety of many European countries in our current political climate.

With growing Russian military investment and threats, Denmark is including women in their conscription to better prepare for the possibility of war. We know, it’s a little scary. Non-volunteer women over the age of 18 will now be entered into a lottery system for their potential military services. This is already used for men currently in Denmark. This will help to meet Denmark’s aim of expanding their service members from 4,700 people to 6,500. The legislation was originally planned to implemented in 2027, however it was reconsidered and changed to begin this yea. This was done in consideration of the increasing concerns about the Ukraine-Russia war.

Adjustments for Women Drafted in Denmark

Because  of Denmark’s change to their policy, their military has to make a few adjustments for the intake of women within the next year. The majority of their equipment and uniforms are fitted mostly to male bodies. This means the Denmark military has a lot of work to do in preparation for these conscripted women to serve in a potential war.

Women Drafted: More European Countries?

Old Moore’s prediction was all inclusive of Europe as a whole. We have to consider whether this current female draft in Denmark will be adopted by more European countries. It will be interesting to see if our soothsayer’s prediction will soon apply to more than just Denmark. Who knows, it could be Ireland next! With the current political climate and threats, it would not be surprising if Old Moore was right and more European countries start drafting and including women. We’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, make yourself a cuppa and try not to worry about mass conflict. Easier said than done!
