The 2024 edition not only includes the predictions that Old Moore is famous for (like… in 2023, he predicted that there would be a “submarine drama”) but also it has some compelling and interesting articles.
Old Moore’s Almanac predictions for 2024 include an assassination warning for Trump, the end of cash, the end of roads, and a massive earthquake that extends across multiple borders.
Old Moore’s Almanac is 260 years old in 2024. It is one of the oldest almanacs in the world and still has the same green cover it has had for decades. It is the first and original, and Irish. Some editions over 250 years old still sit in the Long Room Library in Trinity, next to the Bibles!
Old Moore’s Almanac 2024
Old Moore’s Almanac has been a stocking filler since its inception. It is most famous for its predictions of future events – both Irish and global. These predictions have been getting great domestic and international news coverage for their accuracy. For example, before it happened, Old Moore said that Kate Middleton already had a baby on board (before it was announced) and that the baby’s name would be Charlotte.
In previous years, Old Moore predicted that Kanye would have mental health problems and that Trump would run for president again. He also predicted the rise of Bitcoin over 10 years ago. And of course, he predicted the pandemic, a year before it happened. In 2023, he predicted that there would be “aliens for real” and that the dark side of the moon would be in the news (India landed a craft on it), and that 2023 would be the year of AI, and Meghan and Harry would have marriage and money problems, among other predictions.
The magazine holds on to its position of having the highest circulation of any of the indigenous magazines in the country with sales hovering around 60,000 copies. It has enjoyed a revival in recent years due to its accurate predictions and its love of futurism.
As well as the world-famous predictions, the 2024 edition includes our usual ground-breaking features. One of our writers presents the idea that Ogham, Ireland’s ancient tree language, was the first written language in the world and the “missing first language” that linguists have been looking for.
